Carrollton, GA – After a successful first run in 2009, preparations are now
underway for the second annual UWG Baseball Alumni Weekend.
Head coach Skip Fite Wednesday announced that this year’s event is set for
September 24 and 25. Activities will again include a Friday golf outing, followed
Saturday by the playing of the alumni games at Cole Field.
“We had a great turnout for last year’s alumni weekend,” said Fite. “We hope to
have an even bigger turnout of our former players this year.”
Just as last year, there will no cost to play in the alumni baseball game. However,
there will be a charge for the Friday golf outing. For additional information on the
alumni weekend activities, all former West Georgia baseball player are asked to contact
